What is it about?

Although Renal cortical necrosis seems to be a rare entity of acute kidney injury, its incidence may be underestimated since contrast-enhanced CT is avoided in patients with acute kidney injury. Renal cortical necrosis should receive more attention on the differential diagnosis of septic acute kidney injury. Thus, nephrologists should decide to perform the contrast-enhanced CT even in the case of acute kidney injury._x000D_
