What is it about?

This article addresses the neglect of the hospitality and tourism workforce when sustainability in the sector is discussed. Researchers in human resources from around the globe discuss how, generally, work practices in this industry fail to meet the UN goals of decent work. Yet, tourism organizations and government agencies fail to give priority to dealing with this troubling issue. The consequences for the many millions of people employed in tourism and hospitality are in-equable and sustained. Human rights infringements, particularly in regard to women and children are common and need to be resolved at Macro and Meso level.
