What is it about?

The non-Fourier effects such as heat waves arise due to the multiple time and space scales nature of out-of-equilibrium heat transport, which includes ballistic wave and wave-like propagation due to coupling between different modes.

Why is it important?

It is important in analyzing and interpretation the heat pulse experiments to understand the physical mechanism of wave-like heat propagation.

Perspectives

I hope that this article will help to interpret the experimental results on ultrafast wave-like heat transport. I also hope that my ideas will be proved by other authors, for example, using numerical calculations or molecular dynamics.
