What is it about?

Geographical space is shaped by fast transport means. This paper proposes a new type of representation of geographical time space.

Why is it important?

This is the description of a new type of shriveled maps Compared to previous representations of the same type, the novelty of the model resides in the use of cones to describe the terrestrial surface instead of graph faces, and in the use of curves instead of broken segments for edges.

Perspectives

This paper is a stepping stone for further developments of the model: including more complex geometries that loosen the respect of the principles but generate a different image and convey a different message, eg a horse saddle between cones when a local faster mode exists (express way)
