Why is it important?

The study shows that many adolescents view bullying, cyberbullying, sexism, and racism as intolerable, yet a minority still hesitate or normalize them, highlighting the need to strengthen education for coexistence and digital citizenship with Italian students from an early age.

Perspectives

From my perspective, working on this study has confirmed how strongly many adolescents reject bullying, cyberbullying, sexism, and racism, but it has also reminded me that some still see these behaviors as “normal”. This reinforces my personal commitment to promoting inclusive digital education so that Italian students feel supported, protected, and empowered to defend themselves and others on social networks.
