What is it about?
Most models of electrical systems are either technical or economical. Here we have tried to straddle both aspects of the system and create a model that can simulate various scenarios such as increase in wind energy and effect of different resources on the voltages. The model can also take into account behaviours of consumers and energy traders.

Why is it important?
The modelling framework suggested here is easy to implement and can be adapted to include as many details of the electricty system as possible. Possible additions could be: diverse forms of generating sources, consumer behaviour, wholesale markets, technical aspects of transmission network, etc.
Perspectives
This article describes a modelling framework of the electricity grid from socio-techical-economic viewpoints, which is necessary to capture interactions of processes in a complex system.
