What is it about?

The article considers the possibilities to use different configurations of solar and wind generators and batteries for electricity production for irrigation. The hybrid energy system provides electricity for a pump that fills a tank with water. This water is further used for irrigation of different crops - grapes, cherries etc. The work gives a methodology and simulation tools for calculation of optimal PV-wind based energy production system for given location (with specific meteorological data) and given crop. The case studies are performed for the territory of Bulgaria.
