What is it about?

We produce a simple method to create very small particles of ZnO inside a porous host by thermal decomposition of Zinc acetate under humid conditions.

Why is it important?

This method excludes the reflux step of the ZnO precursor to produce smaller ZnO particles ( in quantum size). Also avoid the basic hydrolysis step, which damages the silica host.


This is a simple method to produce quantum-size ZnO particles inside a silica host without damaging the silica host.
