What is it about?
This is an introduction to the nine articles that comprise the MDPI open-access journal special issue on Critical Issues in Christian Ethics. Summaries are provided for each article. The introduction also identifies a unifying core for this collection of articles. That core is formed by the grounding of these articles in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and a commitment to street-level relevance. In this way, I hope to frame this special issue as an accessible, user-friendly resource for a broad range of readers.

Why is it important?
These authors address significant issues relevant to Christian Ethics. Anything that can be done to further illuminate the contributions of these authors would be a benefit to their readers. Understanding changes behavior and behavior changes the world. It is hard to predict the impact that an author's work might have, but we should expect some impact nevertheless.
Perspectives
This introductory piece is the end of a long process, and I wrote it with feelings of gratitude. It was an honor and privilege to work with these scholars to bring their deep thoughts and reflections to print in an international publication.
