What is it about?
The Covid-19 pandemic posed new challenges in the economic, health, personal, and social domain, which led to numerous psychological reactions in each of these domains. We present an overview of these reactions by outlining the main research topics of this e-book, categorize these topics into three broad strands of research, and sketch our motives that triggered the publication of this Research Topic in the first place. We consider what behavioral science researchers might learn from this pandemic in order to effectively address future human crises. We close by drawing general conclusions, discussing open questions, and offering suggestions for future research.
