What is it about?
Using public gene-expression and clinical datasets, we developed a prognostic model for acute myeloid leukaemia based on genes related to neutrophil extracellular traps. The final signature contained MPO, CCL3 and TLR8 and separated patients into risk groups with different survival patterns and immune characteristics.

Why is it important?
Acute myeloid leukaemia has highly variable outcomes. A validated gene signature could improve biological understanding and help refine prognosis or treatment research, but prospective clinical testing is needed before routine use.
Perspectives
From my perspective, this work matters because Acute myeloid leukaemia has highly variable outcomes. I hope the findings support further research and informed, evidence-based decisions.
