What is it about?

Sudden and collective falling into debt causes people to evaluate the world around them and the past differently. I gathered the voices of the victims of the financial crisis in Iceland and highlighted those issues where the change of opinion, attitudes and practices was the most significant.

Why is it important?

The existing learning models, which would fit the situation of the financial crisis, suggested that it would be normal again after the crisis. It turned out that some people can bring back something from the past when they change their country of residence.

Perspectives

During this research, I realized that when many people get into financial trouble together, many interesting solutions and mutual support appear at the same time. Being alone in such a situation, separately, could inevitably be tragic.
