Why is it important?
Aeronautical safety strongly depends on the meteorology. This paper describe how a convective density current endanger aeronautical security on a major airport in Spain.
Perspectives
This study was very important to me because I was the weather forecaster of the day. Remote sensing observations, specifically the radar, allowed me to forecast the outflow reaching the airport 20 minutes in advance.
