What is it about?
This article looks at various kinds of vulnerability in Hansen-Løve's male characters, and concludes that the frequency of these shows her cinema to have an acute and revelatory focus on the complexity of contemporary male-female relationships.

Why is it important?
Criticism of Hansen-Løve's films to date has focused on girl (adolescent women) characters and this is the first consideration of the men represented across her cinema.
Perspectives
This article was published as my book on Hansen-Løve was in press in 2020: it has now (February 2021) been published and is available Open Access on the EUP website.
