Why is it important?

This article finds that relying on the opinions of country experts as was done in Fish and Kroenig will produce a subjective finding. Therefore, an assessment based on clear analysis of a country of study is more convincing.

Perspectives

This article challenges scholars of Law and Government to examine national legislative institutions using country specific indicators rather than universal indicators that may not take into account the experiences and governmental structure of a country of study.
