What is it about?
Coventry and Sager have assembled thirty-eight clear, crisp essays addressing the thought and legacy of David Hume. Rather than taking the articles in strict order, I group them into ad hoc categories: those that seem merely encyclopedic, those that attempt to resolve interpretive disputes, those that otherwise push the boundaries of Hume studies, those that assess the virtue or accuracy of Hume’s thought, those that seem tedious or less effective at elucidating their subject matter, and those that I regard as true highlights (regardless of their approach).

Why is it important?
I foresee this collection becoming a standard starting point for many future research projects on Hume and closely related topics.
