What is it about?

We were able to identify and restore the specimens of an old (more than 100 years old) zoological collection at the Museum of zoology, University of Padova, the presence of which was described in the catalogues of the Museum.

Why is it important?

We can compare the distribution of Mediterranean marine molluscs at the time of their collection with the current distibution.

Perspectives

This awas a first sep to put some order in old museum collection and it was useful to realise how useful they can be to undedrstand the ecological changes occurred in the last century.
