This is a study on how the characterization of a protagonist develops in Carry-on movie (2024).

Why is it important?
This study combines Field's theory of movie narrative structure and Egri's theory of character dimensions. The study discovers that the development of protagonist's character dimensions is driven starts with his psychological dimension which later influence his sociological dimension and physical dimension. The protagonist's character dimension also changes with each structure of the Carry-on narrative.
Perspectives
It is my pleasure to supervise the article that is written by an undergraduate student from Indonesia. She is successful in combining Egri's theory of character dimension and Field's movie narrative structure theory to study a character's development in a movie.
