Why is it important?
Ship recycling has great potential for polluting the environment because it contents plenty of hazardous materials, therefore in order to preserve our environment careful considerations should be conducted in designing a recycle yard
Perspectives
Since the implementation of cabotage principles the number of Indonesian merchant fleet has increased more than 120% that reached around 14,000 ships but those ship are relatively old and need to be renewed, this opens an opportunity for establishing recycle yards in Indonesia, but since recycle yard tends to threat the environment with its pollution, therefore environmental requirements should be considered well in designing a recycle tard
