What Affects Palliative Patients' Satisfaction with Nursing Care?

The study analyzed patient satisfaction in palliative care centers in Kazakhstan by interviewing 99 patients across three centers. A Pearson's chi-squared statistical method was applied to explore potential relationships between various variables and patient satisfaction levels concerning nurses' work in these centers. The study further employed binary logistic regression analysis to evaluate the influence of nurses' behavior on patient satisfaction. Findings indicated that the information provided by nurses significantly impacts patient satisfaction with their quality of work. The research highlighted the importance of an integrated approach to care, which includes medical, psychological, social, and spiritual support. The results aim to strengthen the role of nurses in providing comprehensive palliative care, essential for supporting patients at challenging life stages.
