What is it about?
This article reviews a recently published book by the Iranian historian Abbas Amanat. The review acknowledges the contributions of the book to historiographies of Iran, while it also analyses from a Kurdish historical perspective the inclusion and exclusion of the Kurds of Iran in its historiography.
