What is it about?
Soil nutrient elements are important to soils for diverse reasons. Changes which took place during phytoremediation of crude oil polluted agricultural soil was investigated to determine if such soils need nutrient augmentation for post remediation use.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that crude oil polluted phytoremediated soils may require nutrient supplementation to boast the nutrient depletion after remediation.
Perspectives
It was a great experience during the course of this study. It has given me an insight into what may happen when plants are used for remediation of polluted soils and possible things to do after remediation to ensure the remediated soil is put to maximum use.
