What is it about?

Rather than argue for a single big idea that will explain everything I present many smaller ideas that can help researchers engage with the complex shifting textures of different social situations. In effect arguing for an eclectic approach to social science theory

Why is it important?

We have had too many turns. I am dizzy from turning. Better to be flexible and pick and choose what helps in the situation at hand.


The book was written after many years running seminars for new research students, seeing the different challenges they have to confront.
