This study is an educational piece that describes attitudes and responses of veterinary students to small group work tasks. Interestingly their was a large gap between how the students viewed their own confidence and participation levels and how they were viewed by staff. This was particularly marked for male students

This study highlights how students may not get the most out of small group discussion classes due to lack of confidence in participation in these classes. Interestingly lack of confidence was more marked in male than female students in this cohort
