Its about importance of keeping a patient with traumatic asphyxia on atleast 24 hours observation.

Why is it important?

It's important because the case was advised by the doctor for discharge on same day of admission but with request of the patient relative, it was kept on observation for atleast 24 hours. Unfortunately, the case turn serious onb next day and died. If the doctor would have been aware of complication of traumatic asphyxia, the patient would have been given even more care and might have been saved. Another importance is if this incident would have had happened after discharge at home, the death would have been accused of due to medical negligence.
