Why is it important?

Concept mapping can be a tool to discern patterns or unseen connections when dealing with complex problems.

Perspectives

I began concept mapping as a discussion facilitator for Harvard Project Zero when educators from a variety of disciplines would discuss ways to teach complex topics such as globalization. My concept mapping approach was an attempt to depict the disciplinary perspectives, assumptions, concepts, theories, methods, and interesting questions raised in these discussions.
