What is it about?

While we know quite a bit about morning and evening types in adolescence and adulthood, little research has looked at young children. In this study I looked at the development of morningness–eveningness in early childhood as it relates to sleep-wake patterns, sleep habits, daily routines, and schedules. Parent-child conflict in both morning and bedtime routines as well as strategies mothers use to cope with related challenges were explored as well.
