What is it about?
The paper's attention is on M-learning in Nigerian schools through WhatsApp, Facebook and YouTube. The growing technologies in education have made the concept of M-learning ubiquitous in the present world. Mobile learning is a type of learning not only in the four walls of a classroom. The paper argued the current situation in Nigeria where students seem unwilling to attend classes, and the inadequate infrastructure makes the M-learning imperative. However, acquiring academic knowledge is essential not only to the classroom with the student's technological savvy. The paper considered WhatsApp, Facebook, and YouTube is the universal app in every smartphone and is easy to operate by the students. It is also the Apps most students are familiar within the social media networking accessible everywhere there is internet connectivity. The article explored features in these devices significant for learning, such as text messaging, image messaging, voice messaging and video messaging. These technologies could also provide the student with an authentic learning experience. The authors concluded that using these technologies in learning will be of significant advantages to the students and stakeholders in education. Finally, the paper discussed some implications of the article, such as internet connectivity and the need for a regular power supply in every town and village.
