What is it about?
The problem of minimizing the contact pressure in a hub–shaft friction pair has been solved by linear programming methods. It has been shown that one can control (minimize) the distribution of the contact pressure in the friction pair by selecting displacement function for hub external contour points of the friction pair. This can improve the efficiency of the hub–shaft pair.
