What is it about?

In this paper, we presented a method of qualitative and quantitative rapid method for determining the inorganic component of petroleum coke.

Why is it important?

In some situations, for example, when the presented sample has a minimum amount or there is no time to conduct a blocking, it is possible to determine the inorganic composition of petroleum coke (or other high-energy substance - coal, oil shale) using X-ray fluorescent analysis as described in this work.

Perspectives

We believe that this method is quite applicable for laboratory analysis and technical control of the quantitative content of sulfur, vanadium and other elements in petroleum coke.
