What is it about?
Psychoactive drugs in the context of public school teacher work
Featured Image
Why is it important?
The study revealed that teachers are in daily contact with students who consume psychoactive drugs. These professionals believe that adolescence contributes to the use of psychoactive drugs and that this consumption compromises school performance. The study also revealed that within the school the issue of psychoactive drugs has been approached sporadically, and consequently little effective. It was also found that teachers feel powerless in the face of the problem, mainly because they do not know the proper ways of approaching students.
Perspectives
The study demonstrated the lack of teachers to address issues related to psychoactive drugs in this scenario, which indicates the need to include this content in continuing education and investments in interdisciplinary projects to promote the quality of life of students.
