The Matricectomy procedure performed with chemical cauterization with ATA 80% resulted in morphologically normal growth, not showing a vitreous appearance. so we state that in certain cases the use of pharmacological agents with antibiotic and/or fungal action is necessary in lesions of evident chronicity

Why is it important?
Ingrown nail or onychocryptosis is a painful pathology of the lateral edges of the nail plate or body of the nail. It covers mostly men (68.5%) and women (31.5%). Among the age groups ranging from 12 to 40 years of age in its highest incidence, with this state the dysformic production of the nail in its lateral portions, with the jamming of the blade in the tissue that surrounds the lateral edges. The most common causes of the disorder are 1. Irregular nail clipping; 2. Inappropriate Footwear; 3. Frequent or chronic trauma; 4. Hyperhidrosis; 5. Lateral nail hypertrophy, and 6. Onychopathy
