Why is it important?

Ingrown nail or onychocryptosis is a painful pathology of the lateral edges of the nail plate or body of the nail. It covers mostly men (68.5%) and women (31.5%). Among the age groups ranging from 12 to 40 years of age in its highest incidence, with this state the dysformic production of the nail in its lateral portions, with the jamming of the blade in the tissue that surrounds the lateral edges.
