Why is it important?
Various types of commodities of the good economic value of forest products, such as; wood for firewood, building materials, charcoal raw materials, and commodities of fishery products, such as; fish, shrimp, crab, and shellfish. This potential is a great asset for the economic development of the community in the region if it is managed sustainably. In addition, the utilization and management of mangrove forests to support coastal economies is of particular concern because of the diversity and role of mangrove forests as diverse as spawning, enlarging and foraging various types of marine life, as well as coastal protection and protection functions.
