Why is it important?

Capital stock is the engine of growth for an economy. Decelerated growth of capital stock in the primary sector (basically agriculture) and lower growth performance in the secondary sector is a matter of concern for the policy makers.

Perspectives

In the light of the need for a strong agriculture sector for Food Security and Industrial & infrastructural development, there is a dire need to focus on the reorientation of investment planning and strategy for the agriculturally deprived state of Bihar.
