What is it about?

In this article we present the model of analysis we have built, based on the works of Jean-Paul Bronckart and Olivier Reboul, to identify the decision process’s guiding values of education and the beliefs associated with the impact of the education policy, invoked in the official pedagogic discourses of Portuguese governments. The results of that analysis, suggest the loss of value, in the definition of the communication space with the political parties, of educational values as references that influence the selection of the means and ends of the educational action.
