What is it about?
This work deals with noise-generating mechanisms in a nozzle flow, such as occurs in combustion systems of aircraft engines, gas turbines or rocket motors. In particular, it is about the generation of sound due to the acceleration of temperature differences in the combustion chamber outlet or turbine inlet.

Why is it important?
These results make a decisive contribution to better understanding and modeling these sound generation mechanisms. This will make it possible to develop quieter combustion systems.
Perspectives
This is a further and important building block for modeling indirect combustion sound.
