What is it about?
The design of trajectories is a fundamental part of any space mission. This work examines using low-thrust propulsion to explore the outer solar system. Nature-inspired optimization techniques like the genetic algorithm are used to refine and optimize the trajectory further.

Why is it important?
We describe an algorithm that can rapidly generate low-thrust space trajectories. This provides a computationally cheap preliminary trajectory, giving insights into flight times and delta-v budgets.
Perspectives
I trust that this work will reinvigorate confidence in the efficacy of evolutionary algorithms for space trajectory design. Our aim is for this research to offer valuable assistance in the initial design phase of space trajectories, which can then be further refined and implemented in actual missions.
