What is it about?

This study addresses a systematic application of the solar radiation pressure to designing a frozen orbit near small bodies subject to the dynamic environment of up to the fourth zonal effects for a long-term analysis on orbit-attitude coupled motions.

Why is it important?

This study addressed the proposal of a strategy for designing frozen orbits under the influence of solar radiation pressure (SRP) perturbation, taking spacecraft attitude motions into consideration. Both orbit and attitude motions were subject to averaging, followed by redefining the first axis of the coordinate system to align with the average SRP direction. The proposed strategy is particularly valuable when considering spacecraft attitude limitations.

Perspectives

I hope our work can provide valuable insight or ideas about utilizing orbit-attitude coupled motions.
