What is it about?
More and more attacks happened on satellites, companies and experts often does not have clear overview about how to respond to attacks. If an attack happen on your satellite, you can use that publication, a framework is proposed with concrete steps to help satellites owners to fight against hacker and make them out of your system.

Why is it important?
Classic IT oriented incident response can’t be applicable as it on satellites, for example you can’t access to your satellite and turn it off, all steps of classic incident response framework by NIST are deprecated for satellites, that’s why they need to be adapted in a specialized framework is needed. There is a lack of publications about what to do once the satellite is hacked while a lot of satellites are already in orbit and can not easily be secured.
Perspectives
This publication give concrete actions but are not exhaustive, a concrete list of actions like in SPARTA framework could be developed with higher technical skills. Then, practice simulation by applying the framework could be done to evaluate the framework.
