Why is it important?
Cal Poly Pomona has placed top 3 nationally in senior design competitions over the last 15 years for aircraft , spacecraft, and/or launch vehicle design. The curriculum is evolving into Model Based Systems Engineering culture.
Perspectives
The paper shows how the Aerospace Department at Cal Poly Pomona curriculum simulates the industry design-build-test culture and methods and prepares the students to be "industry ready" upon graduation.
