A survey was conducted to gain an overview of assumptions and expectations regarding the future development of the UAM-market in terms of passenger transportation with focus on the European market.

Why is it important?
The focus of the survey laid on the view of industry, research institutes as well as organizations and associations working on the field of UAM-technologies to get an impression about their assumptions for future developments in the sector of UAM. The comparative consideration of the two largest groups industry and research enables a determination of potential differences of assumptions. Since, different expectations directly influence alignment of research and development activities, the identification of differences due to different perspectives could be used to verify theoretical assumptions and to adjust them subsequently.
Perspectives
Expectations on new technologies influence the alignment of research and development activities. Consequently, the identification of existing differences of different groups can be used to review own theoretical assumptions.
