What is it about?
A method to predict the aircraft loads when flying close to the edges of the performance envelop. Uses a combination of classic research and one important recent result. The theoretical research is incorporated into two classic examples of aerodynamic prediction software that can model steady and unsteady aerodynamics for subsonic and transonic speed ranges.

Why is it important?
Need to identify possible aerodynamic control problems as early as possible in design process. The current method covers a greater range of performance problems than previously available methods.
