What is it about?

The article makes an effort to quantify drag dispersion on CFD computations on a usntructured grid

Why is it important?

It is important because drag dispersion may compete with changes in drag due to slight (or not so slight) modifications on the aircraft geometry.

Perspectives

Fuel consumption is always an important issue, and is directly related to aerodynamic drag. The publication points out the importance of knowing the amount of dispersion in a CFD calculation due to the grid. It encourages the reader to have special attention when generating grids over different geometries and comparing results of CFD computations.
