Predicting the paths of fatigue cracks in alloys with anisotropic crack resistance

Why is it important?

Going forward, isotropy will become the exception. Modern light alloys, additive manufactured parts: we must learn to predict crack paths and lives in the presence of crack resistance anisotropy.
