What is it about?

Backward, Stepwise or Forward term elimination is used to eliminate certain coefficients and reduce a high order calibration model to a lower order more stable and more valid model. The statistically-based elimination process is not without problems - hence the three different methods. This paper describes an attempt to compare second and third order calibration models using a DSMC approach where the calibration rig errors are included in the term elimination process.
