What is it about?

Cryogenic heat pipes are ubiquitous in space exploration, aerospace and defense applications. We show enhanced liquid nitrogen (LN2) thin film evaporation on additively manufactured metal micro-pillar arrays for the evaporator section of the cryogenic heat pipes.
