Numerical Modeling of Electric Discharges Generated in Supersonic Flows

What is it about?

The interest in plasma research and modeling is growing due to its wide range of applications in academia and industry as well as military purposes. In the field of aerothermodynamics, plasma obtained by electric discharges is particularly interesting because of its relatively simple generation. In the framework of the present research a numerical algorithm for the simulation of electric discharges generated in high-speed flows is developed and validated.
