What is it about?
This study uses direct numerical simulations to show how tiny devices called microramps can help control airflow disruptions caused by shock waves on high-speed aircraft surfaces. Larger microramps reduce flow separation and improve surface airflow, with their position having only a small impact on effectiveness.
