Characterization of Applied Magnetohydrodynamic Effects on Hypersonic Reentry Flows

What is it about?

We closely investigate the MHD effects on hypersonic reacting flows with Mach numbers of 24, 20, and 16. The freestream Knudsen number is altered by a scaling factor of 10 in our geometry and simulation domain, based on our baseline case. Close comparisons were made between scenarios with and without MHD forces. All findings were extensively validated against existing data in the literature.
