What is it about?
Laminarity is important for future sustainable aviation and suction is a well-known means to keep the flow around an aircraft laminar. The present work proposes an extension of numerical models for the design and analysis of laminar aircraft including the effect of suction. The capability of this model to predict the amount of laminar flow is validated with respect to results from a numerical reference method as well as wind-tunnel measurements.
